car runs too warm in traffic,is it possible to overide the fans switch so they come on early ? cheers

Actually you may want to start by making sure that they are all working.

Also - if it is a V8 - I think that the only proper way is to upgrade your radiator (Kevin Mier from this list has done it)

Are you certain it is actually running hot?

I used to think that of mine when I first got it, it's a v8 and seems to run much hotter than any other car I've ever had, but from what I can tell it's quite normal.

When sat in traffic it'll often spend most of it's time around 100 deg and very occasionally go fractionally over.

just put the air con on. the rans run full time when the air con is switched on.
