Anyone got an alternate source for the water hose between the water pump and inlet manifold on an injection SE (89.

Its about 200mm long, 40mm diameter with a slight "S" shape. Looks about £5 but seems to be £46 from the usual sources !!!

Must go to the factors and see whats available....

From my web site:

Radiator hose from intake to water pump (thermostat)

It is fixed. I used 5.5" of Gates 24022, which is their universal radiator straight hose in 1-3/8" and two new clamps. Did not have to pull the intake manifold.

I just did mine. Contact JAE Parts @ JAEPARTS.com They have the silicone hose replacement and you won't have to do it ever again. Cost about 30 dollars US.

Just spoke to PNM in UK who are going to get silicone hoses made for the Esprit, but alas don't have them done yet....

Hi there, can you not take it down to a local automotive store and match it up? For a fraction of the price. I have just done my hoses (non se though) and used the digital calipers for inner wall thickness and ensuring its of the high pressure type hose. New clips all round too.

I have been trying that but here in the UK no-one seems to stock anything anymore!

Motor shops used to have a selection hung on the wall where you could "pick and mix" but alas progress means the beancounters won't let them hold "stock"

Dooohhh!

For the Inlet manifold to water pump hose, the correct Gates cross ref hose is a #20877 and the Lotus part is A912E2017F

I found an unusual source - it is the same hose as the auxilary radiator feed no 2 from a 1970's Bedford Val Coach!!
Another source is the heater supply for a Bedford (Holden) petrol staight 6 Ambulance.
Although I suspect you won't have access to either.........

Gee, I think that one is a little to far out to list in my cross reference. Outside of a ten square mile section of the UK, what's the distribution of Bedford ambulances in the rest of the world?

I cannot believe how spooky that message from GEEMAX is because........

I actually own a 1972 Bedford val coach, like the one off the Italian Job - twin steer, and ....................A 6 cylinder Holden engined 1988 bedford CF Ambulance....one of only 250 made.

What are the odds of that then !!!!!!!!!!

There has to be some sort of connection there.
BTW I don't have spare hoses for the above but I bet they are not £46 !

Doohh

On reflection it was too spooky to be true when you have a brother lurking......

Especially when he knows your strange vehicle habits......

He likes Commer 2 strokes. What water hoses fit air cooled engines ?
