Hello, I am trying to get to know the Esprit better and am gathering as much information as possible.

I did find out that from 1992 on the cabin space was improved. I did ina 1990 model 2 weeks ago and I did fit but the headroom was not great and it had the roof lining hanging on my head.

From which VIN number on is the cabin space better/roomier? How can I recognize an Esprit in a advert with this improved cabin space?

I would say they are all built for people no taller than 6feet and no heavier than a skinny person. From experience they are simply not very roomy inside, whichever model you go for. Shame really.

Yes, but somewhere in 1992 it got a little bit roomier. More headroom, little bit more leg room. Seating lowered. I've seen pictures of the jhigh wing version with no glas back. I think this was only with the high wing. I've seen pictures of SE's of 1994/1995 with a smaller rear spoiler and stil a glas back.

It surely must be documented from which month or VIN this improvement was made. Every inch helps. When I read about the Esprit models it is sad that SE's were produced up until 1992. How is it possible that I see 1994/1995 SE's in the adverts? When I read the info on lotusespritworld, my conclusion would be that only Sport 300 and S4 (S) were produced after 1992.

A SE with this improved cabis space would be of interest and therefore an easy way to regognise such a car in an advert. Also, until what year the SE was producd?

Might be registration dates or simply the owners getting manufacturing dates wrong. S4 started 93 onwards but regardless there wasn't much room to play with to begin with, I'm 6'1" and I barely fit in an S4 for headroom (can just about squeeze in with a helmet on) but I make my life even harder having a bucket seat which has to accommodate my fat arse.
