Hi all! I was just creating a list of things I need to do this year for the Esprit (baring any "crop ups"), and springs is def. on the list.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any specific springs that they like, seem better than factory, or are just plain more affordable than most and get the job done?

Eibach 3inch x 12inch x 225lbs rear.
2.5inch x 10inch x 275lbs front
This set works well for street driving. Stiffer but the ride quality is far better than the factory set.

LEWs visiting Lotus this week and should have more details on the suspension testing they're doing for all Esprit models. New spec springs and dampers are going to be available after the testing is complete.

Basically supply is running out of the old spec stuff and they can't order more, so new stuff is being sorted. This means they are reassessing all the specs and will be ordering 2005 spec stuff for the Esprit.

As you know, Lotus are experts in this field and do work for almost every carmaker through Lotus Engineering. They have already done the G Turbo, S Turbo, SE and V8. Think the GT3 and S4 are to follow shortly.

Once these are available, they should be the best set-up available for the Esprit driven on the road. Keep an eye on LEW for more details. Might be worth waiting for depending on price of course.

OK! Man I'm having one of those weeks where I wish I was in the Bahamas fishing for that illusive 1234 Lb marlin, with a bottle of Tequila and two blondes both with lesbian tendancies. Wait!

I'm sorry,.......SPRINGS! Yes!

I purchased the springs from:
Optimum Performance Machines, Inc.
248 Castleberry Industrial Dr.

Uhhhh.Huh.Huh.Huh,,,, He said Cumming

Cheers

Will the new spec stuff (I assume it will be branded "Lotus"??) be adjustable? If not... NOT! :-)

Thanks Kato!

New stuff from Lotus (?) sounds like a good deal... esp. if it has all the work behind described! As this is a "future" project for me... perhaps I'll wait...

Picked up the info from Lotus on the new suspension. Will be available soonish! No date yet, as they are still testing Esprits. The dampers will be Blisten and the springs Eibach. The dampers will be adjustable, but only for ride height, having two settings 10mm apart. Cost will be reasonable, as these will replace all existing suspension available from Lotus. LEW will be having a set fitted as soon as they are available.

Read more about it on the LEW news page.
