Amazing car!! However, I would like more of an exhaust note. I have googled for Esprit performance parts & came up with nothing viable.I realize this was a very low production vehicle but surely someone makes accessories for it(I hope). Thanks in advance!

Most aftermarket exhausts for the v8 are designed for the 96-01 type exhaust, rather than the centre exit type for 02-03 model years.

The only one i know if that is designed to fit your valence is from Moto-Concept in Germany:

www.moto-concept.de/en/autos/lotus/esprit/artikel_esprit.php?item_sgrp_nr_e=Stainless-Steel-Sys.&item_grp_nr_e=Esprit

www.moto-concept.de/en/autos/lotus/esprit/artikel_esprit_detail.php?item_id=15431

The other option is to get a local shop to make up something similar, which may work out cheaper. Effectively the MC system is just straight through pipes without the silencer box.

I have an after market exhaust from Michael's Motorsports Ltd <www.michaelsmotorsports.com/>

It's a center exhaust with no mufflers. It also sounds GREAT !!! I had my car change to look like a 03 with the center exhaust. It cost like $350 or so for the center exhaust which have chrome tips. I was the first one to get it and Mike has been selling them like hot cakes!! They bolt up to the factory exhaust (I believe).

Tell him that Christian Waldron sent you!!

Do as Rob suggested and get a local exhaust shop to make you two pipes straight from your CATs. This will sounds much better, not too loud either. I plan to do this on my V8 later this year. It's also save approx 15KG from ditching your old silencer!!

The one from < www.michaelsmotorsports.com/> is a perfect replacement "without" the mufflers (aka straight pipes). It's well made and a perfect drop in, I have had it for 4 months and it still sounds great!! Plus since he is located in Massachusetts, you could get the exhaust in 3 days.
