I'm not sure if new calipers are available but you can get rebuild kits from Lotus/JAE,etc. I hade mine rebuilt last year.

We've just fitted the PNM rear brake kit with Brembo calipers (same as V8's). Just finishing of the guide now and wait for pricing from PNM. Great kit and pretty easy to fit!

What model is your Esprit and where are you?

All
have had to send of the Bendix caliper to SJ sports cars in Devon to be remanufactured cost £85 +vat caliper is completely siezed.
I have had an esprit for 5 years (89 ltd ed pearl white ) now in Ireland. It's a little disturbing that new mechanical parts are not always readily available.
however I will soldier on.
cheers CD

Have the HiSpec 4-pots on the front with Hawk pads (take ages to bed in) and now the brembo calipers (hawk pads again) with vented discs on the rear. All from PNM Engineering.

Just published the guide for the rear upgrade kit on LEW. Includes guide to installing and pricing. Great kit and should be a must for all MY87-MY93 Esprits.

See the updates page for a link to the guide.

All the info here:

www.lotusespritworld.com/EModifications/Rear_brake_kit.html

£545 + vat and pads for the rear kit. Worth the price for the kit considering you get brembo calipers that are used on both V8 Esprits and the Lotus Elise.

Front kits pretty good value as well considering how much other kits cost. They do make a real difference to the braking ability, but you'll not get a great pedal feel, due to the ABS system and the pressurized hydraulics.
