Hello there,

Does anyone know of a clear glass replacement? I have just done this for the front and side indiators and it certainly improves the lines.

Finally, can anyone tell me what car the rear light cluster is also used with, I know the side repeaters are also on a Renault 5!

Cheers

Mark

They are off a Toyota Corrolla 85 coupe. I've tried several times to find a clear replacement and there isn't anyone who does them.
You could always do a 2002 round light conversion?

Try contacting these people:
www.clearcorners.com/
I believe they used to have them available but they are not listed on their website and may never have been. You might also poke around on www.club4ag.com/ and specifically ask on the message boards. If anyone knows, they will. Just be sure to specify the correct model Corolla (1985 Toyota Corolla SR5 3 door AE86) and not 1996 Lotus Esprit Turbo. Keep us posted on what you find. Personally, I would like to do this as well with a flat body color plinth, but my wife doesn't want me to change it. She likes it as it is.

I had a few sets until recently when I had a clear out. I can borrow a set. I did actually seperate the orange part from the rest of the casing once on a set to have the corner moulded up. I even took a basic mould once too. I didn't turn out as well as I'd liked so a ditch the idea.
I might me able to loan you a set. E-mail me and we'll discuss it further.

I recently bought a set of used rears just for this. I am planning on making a set of clears. Either by molding or using some others that are similar and fabricating them. I have seen some really nice ones out there and some really tacky ones. So I would have to be very involved with the design and components they were using if a company were to make a set. I may be willing to lend my extra set for a mould process, but I would want to see some examples of a similar set that would show the components that are going to be used.
I am not hell bent on having the lenses completly clear. I think a really clear and transparent red lense with the ability to see the jeweled inside reflectors etc would be cool. Ideas?

Wrong ones Dr Hess (surprisingly as you are normally spot on with this sort of thing...)

Must have been listed wrong. The correct Toyota part numbers are:
L: 81561-1A240
R: 81551-1A240

And I stand with my 1985 Toyota Corolla SR5 3 door AE86 year/model.

Best piccie I can come up with at a moments notice. 1985 Toyota Corolla 3 door AE85 (back end pictures are extremely rare for some reason):

and...

AE86:

Looks to me like the 3 door variants in 85 all had about the same lenses...
