I have a 1990 Turbo non-SE that has some front damage in Aussieland. My body repair shop (who is a Lotus Authorised repairer) is having trouble getting replacement parts. I have asked them if more recent replacements can be used. Can anyone tell me if say a more recent model front bumber would replace the existing bumper on my 1990 Esprit.

It would be great if I could do an update and it was cheaper and less delivery time.

The workshop has suggested I get the rear bumper done at the same time but they all look the same to me. Does anyone know what was changed ??

Thanks

Jason

I think the rear bumpers are the same except for the lower valence. The front bumper are different as is the front lower valence. The fog light, turn indicators, side markers are different but easy to update to the flush style. The only thing is the SE won't look like an SE anymore. More like a cross between the SE/S4. What about the hatch/engine cover and wing. What about the side skirts? It will be one unusal looking SE.

I have seen people convert the 90 to s4. But lets face if you change the front might as well change it all and respray the car to match. This sounds like alot and it is! Keep trying to look for the front replacement. Unless you are willing to spend the money.

Sorry, thought I found someone who had everything you need, but was for a 1988.

Did you try www.christopherneil.co.uk
Follow "parts" all the way thru to Lotus and it has something called
an SE styling kit for 900 pounds.
It is number 620. Worth a try.
