hi,

i am looking to put a full stainless system on my 88 turbo, but with two exits points at the rear. i cannot move the car until she is complete (bloody expensive project this is turning out to be, but i love it), can anyone reccomend a place that maybe knows the esprit, and is able to build an exhaust to work with the car, and not make it sound like a ball bearing in a can.

thanks all

Try lakeside engineering in Surrey. You can find them via a quick search on the web but I do not have their details to hnd. Great guys, know the Esprit backwards and don't charge the earth!

Hi Pauli,

I suggest you post this query on the UK Esprit Yahoo Site. Some of the guys have done this very mod.

PS. Do people realise that there are only 52 registered Esprit owners on Pistonheads. The UK Egroup has 392 registered UK members and the international Esprit E-group has over 1000.

The UK site alone gets approx 500 esprit related postings per month.

The Turbo Esprit list has about 1200 members with many auto professionals. This Forum however has less fluff, more real problems and fixes. I am a list member and have been for some time but lately with the spam and inflamatory remarks I like this forum more and more. People here are nice, polite, and a lot higher owner vs. non owner members. We welcome the non owners and enthusists, their comments and advice too. But when offering comments and advice they must be precise, accurate, and reliable preferably from first hand experience. After all no information is better than misinformation. About the exhaust I have heard good things about Quicksilver made in the UK from the dealer in the USA. Moto Concept from Germany is another source that does make a very good SS exhaust. I have also seen Tubi, Borla, Flowmaster and they are all good but have their individual quirks. I did a a temp fix on my muffler as it had same darn rattle that afflicts many of us. I cut a flap to open it up the mufler, removed the baffle that had broken off inside and re welded the flap back. I cut it on the top so no one could see the cut and weld.
