S3 Turbo Windscreen removal?

Has anyone managed to remove a S3 windscreen without damaging the chrome trim surrounds.

My window trims are mint but the screen needs replacing.

I haven't heard of anyone who has been successful. That trim is very thin and it is imbedded in the adhesive for the windscreen. The two side pieces are available, the top can be made by overlapping a second set of side pieces and trimming them to fit.
