Paul - I take it you're still looking. Too bad you missed out on mine. Sold for $18,000 through the dealer - whomever bought it should be really happy. I think it was one of the best out there. Good luck.

Hey Noah. Yeah I was going to buy it from that dealer, unfortunately a deal went sour on my end and it prevented me from making any decision.

So, since then I have chased 3 SE's, perfect with all the work. And lost out on all 3 of them because the owners were rather rude and the lack of communication was mind boggling. Like this one in PA, perfect white SE, the one I always wanted. I called the person and offered my price, person accepted. We had a meet later that week, 2 days later I call to confirm before I drove to PA, no answer. I call like 4 times through out the day, nothing. I email and call over the next 5 days, and they totally just ignored me the bastard. Really burned me up as I had the money in hand and made all these silly little arrangements.

And the others, well once again, the owners were very unhelpful and seemed shady.

Personally, I am given up on the hunt for now, and focusing more on my move in the next 3 months. I have never seen anything so difficult to obtain. It really is stupid the lack of communication and proper setting when looking for these vehicles. The owners are of no help whatsoever. You would think people who had no luck selling them for months would be happy to help someone ready to buy. Not at all. I am a little pissy too about the deal for your car going sour on my end. BAD timing! Perfect car.

But, I am glad you sold it. So what are you going after now? Anything special?

Paul

Paul,
Don't know how you feel about auctions, but the auction place in Manheim PA will have a Lotus every now and then. If you know a dealer, they can obtain the list of vehicles for the upcoming auction in advance. If the risk factor of an auction is tolerable, you may want to wait until the fall as sports car prices are typically lower then.

I appreciate the heads up. I dont really feel comfortable buying this kind of car at an auction, unless I knew the records and such were there of course. But I definately appreciate the heads up.

As of now I am not looking. I will just simply leave it to destiny. when its time it will happen sort of thing.

For now, I am planning on moving to florida in the next 3 months, so I will just hold off until then and get settled.
