1999 Engine Vibration?

I am about to buy a 1999 Lotus but I have a concern about vibration in the engine at 1500 to 2000 rpm's. Some say it is natural for this engine. I would like some feed back from some owners or engineers that may know this vibration. I would like to buy this car but if this is not a natural vibration that is part of this engine then please save me the cash that I am about to give.

I just bought a 1999 with 7200 miles. I drove it about 1000 miles back home and then another 100 - 200 in the last couple weeks. I haven't noticed any vibration such as you describe. Better have someone "in the know" check it out first.

Who said that? The guy you're going to buy the car from..??!

I've never heard this said before, and have never experienced this in my own v8 (98) or the 99 and 2000 v8's i've driven.

get it checked out. its not right.

I don't know how close they are to you, but Ernest M and Karl Franz are a couple of guys in florida you should hook up with. Karl runs the esprit fact file web site, and Ernest is a v8 owner - i'm sure they'd be happy to help you out with your search? Guys?
