I just came from the Yahoo Turbo Esprit list and it was blank!
Did the server crash or something?

I dont know. It is still down. I hope all that info isnt lost. Well, it was hard to find what you were looking for there anyway. I sure wish everyone would use this forum. Maybe now they will. I know this has been covered before but this format is soooo much better. Plus, I bet there is a way to have this board mirrored in case of a crash. Ernest?

This system has redundancies on top of redundancies. If you have ever logged on late night (about 10:30 eastern) you will notice that there is about a 15 minute "window" that you can't get on. The system goes through a complete backup at that point.

I think all is safe.

The yahoo system seems to be built more along the "list server" model. Also, because of all of the lists that they host, don't know how well their backup strategy is. Pistonheads does cars only so is a focused, single subject, enthusiast organisation...

Hope this helps...

Thanks Ernest. It's good to know all of this info is backed up. As for myself, I make copies of any web pages that have hard to find info. Like procedures and tricks etc. That way if it dissapears, I have a copy. I dont post it but keep it on my hard drive.
