can the v8/s4s wheel arches be added to the gt3 does anyone know?
i know sj sports cars sell them.
if so do the monoblock v8 alloys also fit?
unsure if it would alter the tracking? i know changing wheels can do strange things sometimes. and there 10 inch wide at the back rather than 8.5 inch.
think this would work?
let me know

I belive you will have to some grinding to get them to fit but I have seen them installed on other cars so it should not be too bad.

On SE car the V8 wheels make the tires rub on a full turn not sure on a GT3. It does not rub in arches real hard but they do rub.

Just get a friend who has a V8 and throw his wheels on and check it out.

V8 wheels should bolt straight on to a GT3 no need for any mods. If it was me, i'd check the relative weights of the v8 vs GT3/s4 wheels. I would not do the swap if it meant heavier wheels. A set of magnesios would most prob be lighter, but these are pretty rare and expensive. AWI or saturns will probably be heavier than the stock gt3 17" wheels.

Regarding the arches - yes its been done, but its not a 'bolt on' job. The v8/S4s body is different so it means some reworking of the body and arches.

The bodyshell is essentially the same piece of fibreglass throughout the Stevens shaped cars. Yes various bits have been added/taken away, but the mould is the same for all of them. (Ever wondered why a V8 has a bulge in the lhs of the trunk to clear a non-existant cat, when it's only the 4cyl cars that need it?)

Holes have to be drilled and lips ground before the arches can be made flush to the coachwork. This fettling is (was..sob!) done on the production line after the body comes out of the mould by blokes dressed in white overalls and facemasks, brandishing airtools!

So, it's not a huge job to do yourself as long as you're confident with a grinder on your shiny car
