Hi all, I am new to this site and had a question pertaining to these two 1988 Esprits on Ebay. The first one is a black one, looks to be in good condition, though there are two stress cracks. How easy is that to fix? How much?

Now this one, I am more apt towards as it looks newer and more refreshed and I like the interior bits, however I have my doubts in relation to service history where as the the top one has had a lot of recent work done. I emailed this guy and he doesnt know if the clutch was ever done, so that adds what $2,000 to the bill already right?

And lastly, I was wondering, is anyone in either one of these areas where the cars are being sold to perhaps take a good look at them for me? I would even pay you through paypal to give me an honest review.

Thanks!
Mike

I think Mikey lives in Georgia???

If not I know an 88 owner near Atlanta named Brian Skeogh that has done a look over for people before. He might even know this car as he is pretty active down there. I'm not quite sure why people redo the clutch at such low miles. I know the V8's sometimes have shorter replacement intervals but I have seen the clutch last a long time in the 4 cyl cars even though they are driven in a robust manner. Robust is different from abused and I have heard of cars needing a clutch is it was dropped once too often.

Thanks! I am from the US, I must have missed that on the profile option. Now I have to figure out how to change that. By the way, anyone know any history on this SE?

Contacting you via your profile page I have run into problems with your aol spam settings as the email gets rejected. I you still want someone to have a look at the 88 in Georgia you'll have to send me a message and I will get you in touch with Brian in Atlanta. I don't like to publish other people email on a public forum.
