Tool kit for the Esprit
Discussion
You didn't say which model you have. I have a V8 and the toolcase is suspended from the front luggage compartment bulkhead. True, the tools are virtually never used but some might be handy one day and I fully agree with your desire to make the car as complete as possible. I also use the toolcase to hold the essentials such as spare bulbs and fuses. If I was you, first I would try the factory. They are very helpful indeed, especially marketing and technical support. If your car is a Stephens model, the part number of the toolkit is A082T4016F (page 60.01 in the V8 parts manual)for the V8 and A082T4007F (page 60.01A in the '93 to '96 parts manual) for earlier cars. The contents of the kits looks almost completely different. I would check these part numbers with the factory with respect to your own car. If your car is pre '93 then I can't comment but I would still check with the factory. At the very least, they will fax you a copy of the parts manual page which shows what is included in the toolkit. The toolcase fitted to the V8 is a generic black plastic box. I was given a free gift of a first aid kit recently in an identical box only green. If my own car was without its toolkit then I would fill this green box with useful tools and stick it in the car, thus preserving the appearance but retaining practicality. Failing a new toolkit or ebay, I would seek out a specialist breaker of high performance cars in case someone has written an Esprit off and the toolcase is still intact.
