Has got to be a Us car and in excelent cond. with all records. It can have mods but none that have anything to do with an increase in boost. I would prefer it to be stock however and i wouldnt pay anymore for performance upgrades

There is a black S4s for sale with 24,000 miles in this months issue (October) of the DuPont registry. They
are asking $ 41,900 but they would probably sell it for mid/high 30's. E-bay always has Lotus cars for sale all the time.

Must it be an S4, because I am currently selling my 93 SE.

Just a thought...

It is probably an S4s. They go around a high of 40K and a low of 33K. V8's have started to sell below 40K also. Mike don't you have Frank Lu's old car? You have a car with extras and paid a premium for it. At sale you may or may not get extra for the preimiums depending on the buyer. Sometimes all the extras will allow you to do is sell a car faster for the same as amount as a car without them. When one does extra things to a car one does not really expect to recoup, it should just be done for the fun and enjoyment, if you are real lucky you can get just fraction back. Depends, you do have a nice very car, hope you can get a good price from someone who will appreciate the car as I know Frank's car was not cheap.

I think it's still there. A hard sell when one can get a V8 for the price.

Look at www.espritfactfile.com under model years. They tell all about the different models.

I own a black s4s that I would probably part with for $40k (not a penny less for right now). The car is perfect and drives like a dream. The best part is that its one of the very few that has the factory dual exhaust (called Sport Exhaust on the sticker).

The sound is similar to a ferrari 355, with a little more whine. It has black interior, black paint, and black tinted windows. Three piece OZ's top it off. When I bought it, I had the Lotus dealer do a complete makeover on the car so that everything would be in top shape (even though it was already close to perfect). I rarely drive the car, and have been thinking about switching to a V8 for fun.

Problem is, you can't beat the bragging rights of a 4 cylinder. People are flat amazed at the power from such a small engine. Nobody seems to care about a powerful V8 because your nothing special at that point.

Calvin,

Yep, I have Frank's car. And I am offering to sell it at a major loss. Have to sell it fast, because I most likely won't be able to drive it very soon (very, very bad speeding ticket...loss of license imminent...ugh.)

The plan is to get into a V8 in a couple years...

You're getting a lawyer, right? I'm sure you'll be able to keep you license if you don't have a bunch tickets before this one.

Mike,
Frank took a long time to sell that car because of the cost of the enhancments. It will take a while for you to find a buyer even at the current price you are asking (at a loss). that car is almost a Sport 300, I think the only major difference was the limited slip that your car does not have. I have read your post about the ticket on the list.
Much Luck,
Calvin

You mentioned taking a loss on the car. What are you selling the car for$$? If it has all the options of Sport300 then I may be interested.

Dream Machine,

I can attest to the condition on Mad Mikes Esprit. We bought ours at the exact same time, and I tell you his is amazing! The rims, and other interior enhancements really make the car look great!

I also had my friend Brian Rice re buff the paint on that car, and it looks unbeleivable. I also convinced mike to start using zaino on it which he has since it was detailed and it really shows. His car scoots, and is an extremely nice car. In terms of head turning his car will do it!

Beautiful car!

Good luck!

MadMike:

MikeyRide is correct. Get a GOOD lawyer who is VERY WELL RESPECTED in your future courthouse, and you WILL be able to plea bargain down to almost nothing. Any lawyer who tells you otherwise, do not use them.

It is a nice car. If you want to know the difference between the sp300 and Franks old car email me and we will chat about it. I also in past have chatted to Frank via email and he is more an*l than me about detail. Geez I thought I was picky, people say he like me but on steriods. Oh I may not answer back till next wekk Tue. I will leave for LOG tomorrow morning and will meet hundreds of other owners and see a lot of their cars. Will tell all about it when I get back.

Frank is a neighbor of mine so I know the car fairly well. It's difficult to believe that it's nearly 10 years old when you see it. It is far too nice for me. I wouldn't feel comfortable driving it anywhere.

Dream Machine, I sent you an e-mail through the link on your F-body web site regarding the car if you're interested.
