oil pressure

ive just bought a s3 turbo 84
when I start it the oil pressure is just over half ,when it warms up it stays high when reving, but wen idling it goes down to nearly nothing is this normal?

one or two lines on the gauge is normal. Are you using the correct and fresh oil? Also some of the high filtration oil filters slow down the flow a bit than than one of lesser quality but that should not hurt it one bit. Just change oil at the reccomended intervals.
