Ignition Key Cross Reference?

Does anybody know any cross references for a '90 SE ignition key? I've searched the posts and can't find anything. After checking several key shops in my town and being unsuccessful, I called Lotus Cars USA and they told me I'd have to go through a dealer. I asked my nearest dealer (10 hours away) and they say $60. That seems way out of range for a key to me. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

$ 60 sounds cheap, a new Porsche key is $ 300.

Hardware store key rack look under Toyota Corolla in the 80's. I can get the Ilco key number if you want but my spare key is at home. Ans they can be found in Ace Hardware stores nationwide under 5 USD.

I use an Ilco key "AA3" and it works perfectly. I believe Audi uses the same key!

I have used both Ilco AA3 and TR44
