I have been driving my 1995 S4s for about two months and was wondering if the clutch on this Esprit is supposed to be stiffer than other Esprit's? There is no clutch slip, I know that a hard clutch is an indication of clutch wearing. I'm wondering if I should have it changed, or wait until I feel the clutch starting to slip?

Is there anyway to adjust the pressure? I know that the "red hose syndrome" can affect that, but my hose is braided SS. Would bleeding the clutch help? How about lubing the slave cyclinder area?

Not much you can do unless you experiment and try different bore sizes on the master cyl. Suprisingly the V8 clutches are lighter than the my SE with a shorter sroke.
