hands up who has had a faulty/blown/dead gearbox

oooOOOO no feckin hands
so why do they pick the ONLY lotus in the damn up that has a shite gearbox, nice to see they pick the v8-gt which is the one that the problem started with really, god its annoying,,,,,THEN they rebuild the gearbox,,,,,HELLOOO why didnt they put a quailfe in there instead of spending £3k rebuilding a fecked box that cant handle over 400bhp, they shouldve put in a quailfe that could handle 1000bhp. and the chip was how much,,,,£1k,,,fifth gear wanna come to my house and throw money at me for no reason,,,,come on round tiff & vicki
let me think, dave's gt3 leaves v8's for dead, gear replacement and he has got to be close into the 190's, and all that for around £500-£1000, and there spending the 3rd world debt on shite, what they gonna do with it after i want to know, if nothing then load it with nitrous so it get up to speed quick and there you go. im now engine person but if rocket ronnies skyline r32 does 201mph im sure a v8 esprit can get a extra 25mph no problem

I liked the way they had it proffesionally inspected, and were told "it's all good" which is why they paid more than they really wanted, and then the gearbox went bang on the way home.
Not really a good advert for getting a car inspected before purchase is it.......
Can't wait to see if they do over 200mph though!

As for the project itself. Not very good! Should have contacted LEW and we could have helped them out and saved them ££££££.
If you don't use LEW and deal with Esprit's, 'it's gonna cost ya!'

Thames Valley Racing are TVR specialists but they also work on a whole range of cars from 650bhp Rook Porsches, to Shelby Mustangs and pretty much everything else in-between! Steve Howard also used to work for SGT the Lotus dealer so knows the marque well. He did a great job on the Esprit and it was mega quick until the newly re-built (not by Thames Valley Racing) uprated box failed.
