Polishing inlet and outlet of chargecooler?

Do you guys think there will be any gains at all from smoothing the inlet and outlet of our chargecoolers? I know that most aftermarket, and high performacne intercoolers are extremely high polished inside and out. Alot of the Buick grand nationals and import tuners do this. Since mine is apart I am thinking about doing it what do you guys think.

I don't think it would hurt. Just remember that the air/air intercoolers have a longer pathway for the air so much like a radiator compared to ours. Still would be a nice touch.
