Hi,
If you donot find the connector under the dash you may also use the one that is attached to the rear fuse box. Its located in the trunk right side on the wall.

Hi Chris,
On on S4s this is where to look:
Laying on your back in the passenger footwell, look up at the underside of the glovebox. On the rear wall of the glove box you should see a housing that the connector you are looking for sits it. You pull back a locating tab, and the connector can be pulled downards.
From memory, wire colours are black in one corner, purple in the opposite corner with orange next to it. There are also other wires, but the ones mentioned are used for the ALDL cable.

Hope this makes sense,
Glyn

Engine compartment, behind the relay cover on the trunk (boot) side.

Oooooooooops .... sorry for my misleading post. I was under the impresion you have a V8 .....

Your 90 SE has the ALDL-connector inside the rear relais compartement. Look inside and you will see the connector just dangling around in there. Its easy to spot, it has a blue rubber around it.
