Clear parking lite lenses
Discussion
Hi kids...Anyone had problems with Reproglas. I ordered a set of clear lens from them a week ago and requested a conformation of my order. I haven't heard a peep since. I assume they're on the level, but I'm starting to get a little worried...using a credit card freaks me out!!!

Scott...I found them at www.reproglas.com Click on the large blue "R".. I believe they're in Sweden. Kinda pricey, but I had to hacve them. As you know, A Lotus is a large hole in your garage floor to throw money into.
Good luck

Has anyone sourced clear sidemarker lights (I'm in the USA)? Mine ('89 Stevens) are marked SEIMA 4583 but they don't seem to be available anywhere, in clear or otherwise.
If they'll fit, I think the clear, oval fender(wing)-mounted directional repeaters on recent VW and AUDI models would look nicer than the rectangular SEIMA markers. Of course, the SEIMAs do much to preserve the "parts-bin" originality of the Esprit.
Yours aye,
Tom

Tom,
I used the MHW clear lights of the BMW 3 series (ca. 25 Euro). The result and what you have to do you can see on www.lotus-esprit-se.de

Thanks for this info, but older USA cars don't have directional repeaters and these are not what I am asking about. Sorry if my question was not clear.
USA cars require "side markers" which are an amber light near the front bumper and a red one near the rear. USA Esprits have them between the wheel well and the bumper; there have been a few posts asking how to remove these for painting etc.
I was suggesting that clear directional repeater assemblies from other cars might be a more attractive substitution for the rectangular factory USA sidemarkers. Same idea as replacing the black plastic rear license plinth to lose that 80s look.
Namaste,
Tom
