I had Neil Micklewright's custom Lotus exhaust installed today. Some quick observations:

1. It is a LOT louder. I am sure most people would call it a mean/agressive sound, but I drive it about 20,000 miles a year, so I hope I get use to it.

2. It was a perfect fit.

3. I will say it is a tiny bit faster.

4. The only slightly bad thing I can
say is the exhaust tip is WAY smaller
in diameter than the stock tip. The
cutout in the rear valance panel
dwarfs the tip.

please record that sound and share it with us, I'm also considering that exhaust.
Where can I get in contact with this guy?

The way I contact Neil is to go into the Turboesprit yahoo website, go to
old message 45736, which is from Neil when he first made the exhaust, and e-mail him from there. My computer skills would not fill up a thimble.

Record the sound and play it here?!?!
See above. Seriously, tell me how and I will give it a try.

I think the way that exhaust is made is to use it like that with a small pipe for less restrictive activites and if you want to quiet it down use a Borla resonator tip or something like it. The resonator tip is a little larger than the pipe diameter you start out with so you can size it however way you want. Plus the carbon fiber/SS tips looks good. They have many size combinations of the in/outs of the tips.

I am getting use to it already. My
main passenger says it sounds good.
