Walt,
Screwed up the email address for your home email, I guess I was too busy at work to pay attention. Well
from my capsule flange where the actual rod comes out to the surface of nut on the threaded side is 2 1/16th inches. I don't know if that will help much as the each capsule may be different. The specs call for you to use a hand pump of the type used to pump the lumbar support of the seat. You will find one under the seat attached to a hose. use this pump bulb and a PSI gauge. A real accurate digital tire gauge might work? They call for a gauge with a small scale for accuracy (0-10lbs) Fashion some sort of T with the two and use a hose to connect to the inlet to wastegate capsule. Pump up to 8.6lbs.+/- .25lbs. it should move the flat end of the rod connected to the wastegate arm .38mm or .015in. If the pressure is to move the rod is below 8.6 then shorten the rod, if over 8.6 lengthen the rod. Important than the threaded portion of rod going to the capsule not be turned and held stationary, it is connected to the diaphragm and damage can result to the capsule. remove the arm from the flap rod to adjust.
Good Luck,
Calvin
