Does anyone know where I can find the paint code on my '90 SE? I've looked, but can not find!

Hi,
I would suggest going to www.espritfactfile.com then "parts" and then on last line "Lotus paints".

hope this helps

If you are talking about the paint code location in the car. It's on the front right wheel arch under the bront bonnet or nearby on a metal plate.

For USA Fed. cars LHD:
On some cars it is a while label 3"X4" on the left side of the car, located just rearwards of the wheel arch onthe front bulkhead wall with a barcode. Towards the bottom of the label you will see paint code and interior finish code.

Try the right side about the same location on the bulkhead just rearward of the wheel arch.

I have searched under the front bonnet, both door jambs, the glove box, and under the rear hatch! I guess they just forgot to put one on my car! Just my luck, what next? THANKS EVERYONE

Okay what is your vin number. Post it or email it to and I will have a friend at Lotus look it up for you. This will take a few days as he will do it as time permits. Now mind you this will only work if the car has not been repainted. You can also take in something like your wind deflector to the paint shop and have it scanned and a custom color mixed for you. I think most places the minimum is a gallon and they usually can even load it in spray cans for touch up. How much paint do you need. Have you used one of the HVLP sprayers before they are slick, just spray some paint let it dry, wet sand with 1500 grit, buff with fine cut aluminum oxide and can't tell where the dings and rock chips were. I have done the same thing with a touch up brush and sanding for isolated chips too.
