Broken return throttle spring on '89
Discussion
Hi all, need advice.
Last week end, I experienced short course on gas pedal. Problem was the small piece which held the end of throttle cable. The piece was almost out of the lever of the carburator and was locked at mid course when touching tubes btween the two dellortos. I notice that the return spring was broken. The spring may help to lock a little bit the moving locking piece but seems pretty light to hold the all thing. I wonder if some of you had the same problem. I plan to secure
the cable on both parts of the piece. Any info?
Thanks
Ben

Exactly the same happened to me
car is slow returning to proper idle almost seems like the choke was on (the spring must have been fairly well opened for it to break if you catch my drift)
repair is easy remove the red airboxes and equalisation pipes, and using longnose pliers attach a new spring between the engine and the throttle return mechanism. it is pretty awkward
and will take about 1 hour
