can anyone tell me if these wheels fit an S4s? The 18 rears are my concern.. are the V8 fender flares cosmetic or necessary for the bigger wheels. seems to me that visually there is a fair amount of space around my 17" wheels...

They fit. The stock-sized tires are basically right at the edge.

I posted some pictures of OZ Novas on my S4s at some point.

Yep they fit, as mentioned.

but to see for yourself, here's my car, an SE with the AWI Esprit V8 wheels.

I think they look better without the fender flares (eyebrows). The Fender flares were part of a European regulation for wheelwell to tire overhang. The idea was to keep flying rocks and pebbles from hitting stuff.

The AWI's, and other V8 wheels, will actually fit your S4s better than my SE since the S4s has the same size front hub spigot as the V8, I had to machine my wheels to fit the larger SE hub.

can anybody vouch for this seller?
the transaction deal is getting stranger by the minute

he is asking for western union payment and ebay says never do that.. he says send money to the UK but wheels are in michigan and wife will ship them. he says pickup is not an option - will ship for free( who wants to ship wheels when they can be picked up)

he has elaborate messages that look like ebay but talk about safe harbour team and ebay safety center that i cant find any reference to on ebay.

i have very cold feet.. will see what develops next..
did anyone else try to bid on the other items? any stange stories?

The seller wouldn't happen to be the Son of the Deposed King of Nigeria would he?

Is he going to send you alot more for the item than it worth?

Does he want to pay you with a check that is more than you are selling the item for, and want you to send him the Balance.

Is he going to arrange for his Agent to pick up the goods at the time of payment.

Yep, I've dealt with him and if he now thinks that I'm going to give you part of my share of his $18,000,000 Family Inheritance, you're both Sadly Mistaken!

Scam. Nigerian. Run away. Report him to eBay. Thought it sounded a bit strange and especially when he listed basically all the parts to a car but never said what happened. Can we get an Admin to ban him?

Well it does sound exactly like one of those scams. The ones where they offer a car really cheap, say they are in another country but the car is in this country, send Western Union.... Yada yada.

But if you look at his previous post about wanting to beat a viper in his 89... Seems like he really does have an 89... I said seems, cause I don't know for sure.

Apparently bought an Esprit, but didn't want an Esprit, wanted something faster than an 89 Esprit, so he's taking it apart, selling the engine (says he hates the 4cyl!!!), planning on some other V8.

If he needs money to buy a house, why sell the "replaceable parts"? Especially when the car isn't what he wanted??? Why not sell the whole car to someone who can appreciate it?

Travis

But all that doesn't matter, If he's not a cooperative seller... Use your judgement.

my latest reply from ebay.,.. guess this closes the subject.. not sure how we can protect this board from fraud... we are easy targets, rare parts, owners with at least some amount of disposable income. this guy is a pro... played us all..
