Because of personal issues and my lack of time to care for the car as I'd like to I'm going to sell the Esprit

Any idea on price? It's a 1991 SE Highwing in red, with only 14k (yes...14k) miles. Before anyone assumes this is bad, it has always been run regularly apart from when it was professionally drained down and dry stored on stands for a few years.

It's absolutely mint red with a very dark grey leather interior - with a few very minor chips on the nose. Full service history and drives like I guess it did when it was new. Under the front compartment is literally like the day it left the factory- as is the engine bay.

Thanks for any advice.

I'd guess around the 12-13K mark. The low mileage might be seen as a problem rather than a positive point - the reputation is that they really don't respond well to being left standing, even if properly drained and maintained.

If you're not in a hurry to sell, I'd wait a couple of months until spring has kicked in and people are thinking about summer driving.

Hi there, I reckon about £15K if you are lucky. I know it's a mint car as we've exchanged a few e-mails in the past and I was looking at this. Only problem is this is knocking on or into S4 and GT3 territory. I know these would be rougher examples.
Best place to start is on this classified then LEW.

Hi Bruce,
spoke to you on Sunday at Pistonheads. The car really is mint. I recon 15-16K but wait till spring time. If you want a quick sale now, then expect around 12K.
Good luck.

Yeah,
I'd have said £15k too. I was shopping for an SE last year and non-highwings with more miles strayed this high. £12-£13 is way too low, my 48k mile SE was £13k and one of the cheaper ones i saw in that condition, and there are two dealer stock highwings at £17k at the moment!

Also, some people (inc me) would go for the top end SE, rather than the entry S4 & GT3 prices. After all, the later cars are just SE's with bodykits anyway

S4S in Auto trader at the moment for £15K, seems very cheap!

The reason this is so cheap is that it doesn't have any service histroy whatsoever!

Hi Mark - thanks for the reply and your vote of confidence.

That Enzo did look rather nice - though I couldn't work out where it came from!

One minute I was being followed by a red esprit turbo (you), which seemd to turn into a black enzo in a couple of seconds next time I glanced up!
