Jacking up an esprit

Are there any problems with using axle stands on an S2? If so, how else would people recommend I hold it up to work underneath?

Depends on what you are trying to do.
The rear is easy. Best near a junction of tobes. At the front just support near the inner suspension point.

To get underneath I use ramps. At the back use the rear wheels naturally.

To work under the front I put one ramp under a rear wheel and the other under the front wheel on the same side. Steering on left lock if lifting right hand side. Then back up onto ramps.
