Detroit Auto Show

Living in Windsor Ontario directly across from Detroit it is always exciting when the Detroit Int Auto Show is in town early Feb. However this is the 4th straight year that Lotus is not a part of the line up. I thought that for sure they would want to show off the very hot Elise/Exige and maybe a concept of the upcoming Esprit or Elise coupe. Very dissapointing. This is an important show for North America. What's going on ?

I believe Lotus has a history of introducing new cars/concepts at Geneva. They certainly did that with the V8 Esprit in '96.

So, smart money says Geneva in '06 with production in '07 for the Esprit replacement.
