These are pretty good.

About 18 months ago I fitted a set of EBC Red pads to one of my Scoobs and it has to be said that they were the worst brake pads I've ever used in my entire life. They had no bite whatsoever and were utterly useless when cold. They're one redeeming feature was the fact that they left no brake dust deposits on the wheels, but I suspect they're complete inability to slow the car down had more to do with this than their chemical make up .....

Not long after that I read reviews from people saying the compunds had been replaced and that the new ceramic compounds were pretty good, but once bitten .....

Anyway, the other morning I was clambering around in the loft at work, bashed my head on one of the metal gurders that are conveniently placed at only slightly above eye level ..... when I eventually awoke I thought I know I'll try some of the new EBC Reds on the Lotus.

And it has to be said I am very happy with them, they are noticeably better than the OE pads that were fitted to her. They have very very good initial bite and very good pedal feel. People tell me that the 'dust free' nature still remains, though I cannot comment on this yet. Likewise, I'm still in the bedding in phase coupled with the fact that the weather's been really sh*t so I cant yet comment on fade resitance.

I got them from www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/?source=ukoverture and arrived next day
