This is a new page on my Website that me and my web designer are going to devote to esprit performance modifications.

These are pics of the Exhaust manifold that I just got done porting, and polishing. Also you will notice the flat black finish of the casting. It was triple coated by Maryland Performacne coatings, to keep the heat way down in the engine bay. I am very happy with the way things turned out. I would have liked the manifold to have been shiny, but that coating would have blistered, and flaked after about 1,000 miles they said.

Anyways I have also got about 75% of my Inlet manifold reworked, and will have pics of it up shortly. Tell me what you guys think.

BTW there is a possibility for big gains porting these peices as the stock inside finish is just plain aweful! Huge casting marks, and a really nasty sand paper finish

You might want to pick up this month's Grassroots Motorsports magazine. They have a good article about home porting. FWIW, I've read many times that the last thing you want on the intake side is a mirror finish.

Thanks for the info Mikey! I will check out that issue. I understand the fact that you need a less then smooth finish on the intake sometimes. They use it to get a tumble effect for the incoming air. But at the same time you can acheive much better flow even with a smooth finish depending on the intake port design. The way the 4 cylinder intake is set up, with the injectors protruding into the intake runner, you already get a tumble effect just by having that obstruction, this is why I started smooth, at the far outward edge and worked it into a slightly rough finish on the exit ports, leaving the middle actually untouched, around the injector sleeves.

Anyways hope this makes some sense

Thanks for the comments though.
