Hello. I am a new mwmber on this board and have a lot of questions.

But I will start with a couple.

1. Where can I find a performance exhaust system for a 1994 S4? I would prefer a dual tip setup (Both side of the car) rather than a single one.

2. I read a lot on Performance chips but scared to get one installed (All the soldering and all). Where do you all go to get the chip installed? I am leaning towards a #3 chip.

Thanks in advance. This so far the only interactive forum I found on Espirit.

Ahmed303:

In the Washington DC area, contact Lotus Ltd. (www.LotusCarClub.org) President Dave Hsu at Dave@mur.com. He can put you in touch with the local DC Lotus club.

As for a chip upgraded, contact Sanjaya Vatuk in Chicago at TurboEsprit@earthlink.net. I've had his upgraded chips in both my Esprit SE and S4. Cars ran MUCH better with his chip.

any competent exhaust shop SHOULD be able to install an exhaust for you. You are (flame suit donned) basically looking for a 94+ Chevy Camaro-type exhaust if you want dual exit (it comes in on one side and then exits on both sides.... flowmaster, borla, they all make them)

As for the chip... I went with the 330hp red race, love it, but seriously, bring it to an electronics shop to have it soldered (the holder) on. I am VERY competent with a soldering iron and have done quite a bit of electronics work (ie. removing a replacing a dozen capacitors on an NSX climate control bord last car, etc)... but the space available for work on the chip is so miniscule.... pay someone with the right tools to do it! It's worth every penny!
