Can the dash and door panels be updated to the gray carbon style very easily? Has anyone ever done this? Any idea on how much it costs? I am looking for a S4s and the one that interest me has a wood dash. Did any of the S4’s come with the a carbon dash?

Thx Dan

Don't recall seeing any S4s that came with CF. Are you looking for soild CF or a CF covering. I have seen some owners put a overlay on the pieces that look fine.

I was hopping to get factory but a covering would be OK also. I would love to get a 98 with the new dash but that is about $20K over my budget.

Any idea where I can get more info on the dash coverings?

Thx Dan

One of our local club members did the CF overlay to cover a cracking finish. He got it in a sheet then had each piece trimmed. I believe he got it from a company in Germany. It was less expensive than a soild cast item which was really expensive.

I looked at your original post and you wrote about both an S4s and an S4's. I have seen S4's with CF. I have seen S4s and 97 V8 only with the wood panels.

I believe the (fake) wood dash was
USA models and the carbon fiber was
non-USA models.

You can buy a carbon-fiber overlay for your current dash from a company in Germany called Folia Tec. Their website is:
