Well... my throttle jack "stuck I think"... It wants to keep the engine running at like 3k... forever... I unplugged the solenoid and it runs great. Can this hurt anything or do I need to have it replaced? I assume it's for emissions and to heat up the cat...

Also, I found my reverse lamp switch to not be hooked up. The wires are just sitting there and there appears to be a plastic cover on the switch... Does the cover just come off and the switch plug in?

Thanks... gettin there day by day...

I think you'll find that your throttle jack works. It's the sender that's not working properly. I think you need to check the thermal ignition switch (green switch on block that has 3 vacuum pipes). Mine went on my last Esprit and gave the impression that my throttle jack wasn't working. Also the bracket which houses it, it made of alloy and you can bend it upwards in your hands. This maybe another problem if you've worked in your engien bay recently and accidentally leant on it without noticing.
It sounds to me like your warm up sequence isn't working properly.

Hope this helps,
