Caution Esprit S4 Guys,
Had a problem of my car sputtering a little. Did some checking and low and behold the TPS sensor was bad. At certain points of throttle, the tps would measure 0V. What was worse was it was initial set at .56V when it should of been about .45V and then as the throttle was opened, the voltage would increase till about half throttle then it would all of the sudden start to decrease. This could have spelled disaster if I had done some super serious runs at full throttle with the car for extended periods of time. What this means to an ecu is at WOT, give less gas!!!! An extreme lean-out condition.
So, I went to the GM dealer and purchased a new TPS part# 17106680 as specified here on EFF. This turned out to be wrong part and so I checked at the actual numbers stamped on the part and it is 17106681 that is needed. Cost me about $40.00. To get the .45V initial setting, you will have to drill out one of the holes on the TPS sensor so that you can get more rotational adjustment. I reset the ECU, started the car and it idled so smoothly. Drove around with no glitches and then smashed the throttle with my new T3/T4 turbo and shabam, this baby is blistering fast!!! I love it.

Hi Rob,
Well, after waiting for 4 months, and having been in the philippines for 3 of those months, I have not received them yet. However, HRE has advised me that next week is the scheduled to for them to receive their new 4" flat lips. This should be impressive looking because the standard 19"lips used 19" centers for the rear. Now with the new lip, it will have 20" centers for the rear and 19" Centers for the front. The four inch flat lip will have a look of extreme deepness! The wheels lips are going to be simular in shape to the 2003 esprits.
As soon as I get them, I will forward you the picks.
Cheers,
Dindo
