Hi Jim,
Out of the 8 imported into the USA (4 silver/4 Black).
There are 7 left with a black one being destroyed by engine fire and the salvaged components being grafted into Guy Theriens rebuild.

In the last year, 2 of the sport 350 have been on the market and sold. They are unlikey to appear back on the market so soon. That would mean 5 are out there that have owned for any length of time.

A few of the USA 350 owners are on the turbo list. I have not seen any USA sport 350 owners here.

At one time I was looking into Sport 350 purchase. In the USA Sport 350's the only difference between the Sport 350 and 2000MY/later is the carbon fiber wing, the 2 tone seats, wheels, and possibly the trim piece on the console.

While at the time I was willing to pay a slight premium for one of the 7 remaining. Others were willing to pay a bit more than I was or I was unable to move fast enough to close the deal.

Good luck to your friend in his search. It is sort of cool to have a car that is featured on a PS2 game even if the game is few years old.

IIRC the front suspension/sway-bar setup is a little different as well on the SP350. I believe that the way that the body was created was also different resulting in a slight wieght savings...

...no CF binnacle/trim in the US models. I believe that was UK only (along with the blue motor and some other goodies).

On European cars the seats, blue painted plenum cover and calipers are most obvious differences. The body was laid up lighter and the suspension is a bit different.

Not sure if they made it the USA with the suspension and lighter body though. I would defer to Ernest as he is the V8 guy.

Calvin,

The lighter body didn't make it to the USA. That would require passing the Federal crash-tests again, and that would be prohibitivly expensive for just 8 cars.
