Usually caused by the solenoid or brushes in the starter motor. Either way, time to take the starter off.

I think Dr. Hess is right. My guess would also be the starter. Shouldn't be the solenoid since you can hear it clicking. I was also going to say weak aging battery, but you said that it seemed fine. Please also check for loose battery cables. That's gotten me on more than one occasion over the years.

Cheers all, will do ..Tip for you guys..wiper arm hinge..small drop of oil on pivotal area`s will reduce strain/wear on linkage/motor(feel how much resitance there is before)also headlight pivots, tailgate pinions, door hinges, locks, key holes etc all get neglected. And how are you supposed to get the dissy cap off??

Thanks Sidders,

A drop of oil does wonders. Will do.
