I have no affiliation to this car or owner at all but would be interested to hear if anyone knows the car or has any opinions about it - it looks potentially good value to me - I don't like the mirrors or the wheels but they can easily be painted.
Gearbox upgrade - seems like a big plus - the original boxes were a weakspot?
Sounds like its had some other sensible mods. But its not sold - so am I missing something?
I'm no lotus expert - happy to hear impartial views/thoughts.....?

. i viewed this car the other day and nearly bought it, but have since decided to buy a gt3.
I am a club Lotus member and have had many Lotuses including 5 Esprits in the past.
Now about the car its a very striking car with lots of receipts for all the things that ever go wrong with v8's and lots of upgrades too. The owner took a deposit last year and the buyer let him down, so the owner put it away for the winter. He is a very straight and decent man and only to happy to show all the history, or have it inspected!
I would suggest that you go and view the car,to see if you like it then speak to Paul Matty Sports cars who know and have serviced the car in the past. Then if all checks out pay them to do a full check on the car to put your mind at rest, its well worth it. Its a cheap v8 these days, more so with all the work and upgrades that have been done.
Hope this is a little help to you.
