New to the V8 club

Hi all,

Just purchased my first Esprit, a 98 V8 SE . Having owned a TVR S previously this machine is just awesome. After looking at a few, finally settled on this one. 33000 miles and an absolute beaut. Even got two years parts and labour warranty from Sportomotive Salisbury thrown in.

Couple of quick question....there is a big red button just forward of the gearstick. Guess this was probably a previous alarm fitted, but dont want to push it for fear of ejecting the passenger! Also need to find the best position for the Road Angel. Have put it where the rear view mirror goes, as guess it may just see thru the rear screen?

Some pics posted on my profile. Any meets/owners in the South Hants area on a regular basis? Would be good to go for a blast.

I'd guess the big red button is more likey to be a starter button, not an alarm.

The Hants area of Club Lotus meets on the 1st Monday of each month at the Hogs Lodge pub in Clanfield (about halfway between Portsmouth and Petersfield just off the A3)
Nice bunch of guys and a few Esprit owners too. Jeff Danton is the area co-ordinator (well, he drinks beer!) and I've got a 'phone number for him somewhere, give me a day or two....

Hajijimashte. May have to revert to somthing with a more European ring to it now, but guess some variation on the theme could be in order!

Best of luck with the Esprit mate, at times she will make you cry, laugh, feel scared & proud... but after you park it up & walk away you just got to glance back at it & smile...
