Anyone have a good source for spark plug wires for Esprit engines with a distributor? I checked a couple of local shops but didn't really find anything suitable. Any leads (no pun intended) would be great.

Ron,

Magnecor makes an excellent set of leads for the 9XX engine. you can download their .pdf catalogue here:
www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/files/catalog.pdf
Any magnecor dealer can order what you want.

Since yours isn't a Turbo model Esprit with the coil in the ignition box, you can also check for Magnecor lead sets at any JH parts supplier such as Delta Motorsports which is in Phoenix. Their number is: (602) 265-8026 fax (602) 971-8609 usually much cheaper than a Lotus parts indy for this part.

Once you have your Magnecor part number, give a phone call to Cyberauto.com:

www.cyberauto.com/index.php/vehicles.htm

and they can order them for you at a discount. Just tell them you want Magnecor part number XXXX and go from there. I forget what the discount is, but I think it is around 1/3 off the list price. Tell them I sent you.

Hey Hess,
Cyber Auto is the same place they have slotted or drilled or combo slotted/drilled front rotors for SE's. Only $75, only thing they are not listed as Lotus but Toyota Supra.

Yeah, I know about the rotors. Chris/CyberAuto has been hosting the ToyotaMods mailing list for years. It is still active, but not like it was before all the forums came along. Although they are web based, I have always found it better to just phone them.

When I bought my Magnecor wires for my 4AGE 20v, I ordered them through CyberAuto. Mine were the first set of 20v wires they did and I wound up having to send Magnecor one of my wires so they could duplicate the ends.
