Sorry mate i cant help but just to say i have the same problem with the passenger window on my S4. The motor turns the window moves an inch then stops, a clicking noise can be heard when you push the switch, after a few seconds it will move either way an inch again. As its the passenger side i'm not to worried but interested if anyone comes up with a cure. You are not alone!

Both switches could be bad. When we bought our '90 SE, the windows appeared to have a poltergeist. They would work part time. On occassion, you would wiggle the switch and it would go down then on its own reverse and go up. We kept our fingers out of the opening. Anyhow, after replacing both switches they were fine, until the driver's side motor went anyhow.
