Hi all:
I am hoping (desperately) that someone who is familiar with the UN1 knows what differences exist between it's (almost) twin the UN369. Derek Bell says on his website that they are so close that it's not worth talking about but I remain curious.
I have a transaxle and halfshafts from an R30 and the whole thing looks quite close to a UN1 aside from obvious bellhousing and rear cover shifter differences. The tag id says it is a UN369-00. The main clamshell looks the same except for a couple of extra tapped bosses cast on the UN1 for mounting the gear translator stuff. Anything else?Bearings/internals the same? Final drive is 3.89 like the Lotus (Sorry Ron, I know the GT40's boys prefer the 3.44's of the R21T ).
Any insight would be greatly appreciated as it will dictate as to whether I hold it for a Lotus spare or use it on another project.
