Well, if we are guessing, I would say that a 1980 in really nice shape, everything running would be around U$10K tops. You are going to need a motor rebuild. At very least the valves, likely head work to repair the place that the valve got mashed into the combustion chamber, new guides, maybe a piston. Then there are the while-you-are-at-it's. Do it all yourself and you might run 3-4K for parts and machine shop. Sitting 3 years as all the English rubber turns to little black specs in a fluid, PITA factor, towing it home, etc., everything else being in realy nice shape, body, interior, not needing paint or anything apparent besides the motor on a 25 year old car, five thousand. Four would be a "good deal," six not worth it. And you are buying yourself a project.
