esprit wheels, whos done what?

thinking of an upgrade wheel wise, on my SE, mostly because of the std OZ rims being a bit faded/scraped, but also the fact of the tyre sizes being rather tricky to obtain(and there knackered). S4/gt3 rims are the next choice up, but why not V8 monoblocs, coz they are lovely. split rims are nice, but very £££££$$$$$$$$, so apart from the huge tyres/no power steering issue, and the fact that the fronts need machining out/or the hubs turning down(easy option, got a lathe see) has anyone done this to their SE/S4/GT3? and do they fit, is there anything body wise different to foul the tyres etc? if i am going to change it, i want to go for it!

I've got the GT3 wheels on my 89 Turbo. The steering is a little heavier at parking speeds but I've removed my spare wheel which has lightened things a little. I also run spacers on mine to push the wheels a little further into the arches. Looks alot better imho.

the two things that you'll have to do are; have the front wheels machined to fit the SE hubs (or you can replace the hubs with S4-V8hubs), and you'll need to convert your rear upper links to be adjustable since the SE does not have camber adjustment.

cheers guys. looks a definite maybe on the V8 wheels. there my favourite. need the adj. top links though, as u say. my lathe is going to get busy!
