Well it's taken a bit of plumbing but I have finally managed to get
my chargecooler fitted to my 89 Turbo (with carbs). It certainly
hasn't been easy and I haven't actually been out in the car yet to
see how effective it is. I will not get chance to test it till
tuesday night and I will let you all know how I get on. The cc
system is plumbed in via my old aircon system. This was not working
when I bought the car and so i won't miss it not being there. The
flow rate doesn't seem to be lightning fast but having followed the
posts on this topic views seem to be mixed on this one.

Fingers crossed a successful mod.

Cheers

Hi Eric,

What set up did you use?? Have you by-passed the aircon heat exchanger on yours?? I am hoping to get close to that figure once I know the system is working and I can then turn the boost up a bit. What boost are you running at present??

Cheers

Alan

I work with a seperate radiator in front speciale made in england from aluminium.the carbs are rejetted by a specialist.i also use the original lotus chargecooler
i run with 0,9bar boost.Dont run with 0,9 boost with the original ignition with the vacuum hoses!!!!i destroit 2 engines before everyting was ok!now i use a emerald ignition.you walk on a very smal line between ok or total destruction of your engine with the carb turbo with 0,9 boost ,it cost me a lot of money
If you wont more information contact me i wil help you
Brgds eric
