yeah the car has been in the bodyshop for 4 weeks, only came out 2 days ago, still little things to do but i loved the result. i just went to my mate and said "make it phat" and walked away, thats convidence for ya lol, he did me proud, i will post proper pics when i do them. the sides have had so much work done to them aswell, but like a true pro you cant see the work thats gone into them (no handles/flared skirts/new mirrors/wing vents/flared air intakes/moulded v8 arches/door rub strip smoothed and the list goes on LOL)

glad ppl like it, some ppl wont of course but thats what its all about to me, its all about personal preference

i have had i would say a 85% good reception, so im glad, i will be at stoneleigh fair in november if ppl want to have a look, hopefully see ya all there

its not a vent at all matey and yeah the whole lot is hand made as such or stolen bits of other cars and chopped up

(the vent you speak of is actually a window intot the bonnet where the nitrous bottle is, it will be fibreglass soon under neath to hold the bottle and light under to glow the bottle at night,,,,,thats the biggest controvesy so far you eithier love it or hate it, i like to mod cars so it impractical to the max LOLOOLOL)

I like the rear mod a lot although I think it would look better without the additional bolted on valance. What's the purpose of that?

I think it looks pretty good. I was thinking the same thing when someone above said it looked like a 355.

Only think i'm iffy on is the "bonnet" is you brits like to call it

But i'll decide for sure when i see the finished product.

kylie kylie kylie LOLOL, to be fair in pics it you cant gauge the colour, but that is the final colour, i have another pic somewhere that will give you a better gauge on it, its actually baby blue with alot of gold pearl in it. but as i said in pics you really cant see it. a few ppl have said the same untill they see it, i needed a colour that a lotus would never be, and i went a jap car show and noticed there was only 3 cars in the whole place this type of colour and they really stood out

the bonnet (the REAL name for it LOLOL) is a bit of a talking point to be honest, very 50/50 split at present, i like it as i am a modder but more lotus ppl are not sure

the rear end, well the valance serves no purpose at all but its another piece of carbon to the car LOLOL, i have seen it with and without and i do like it now, gives it more agression on the back

and the "355" quotes i think you mean "360" thats seems to be the general at the moment LOL.

i have sent the pics to lotus and they do actually like it, sent them to brian angus (head esprit guy), and he did say that he wanted to that type of back end on the 2002 upgrade but they didnt have the money basically, so a thumbs up from lotus cant be bad lol

Looks great and I think it is quite subtle, the mods tastefully enhance the lines and the workmanship looks topnotch. I guess not to everyones taste but I like it, alot

Well... the workmanship looks quite nice. I do like some parts, but I'm not a fan at all of the rear bumper/valence, sorry. Also, undercar neons?? Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I'm glad you like it, that's all that really matters.

Have fun with it, I know it will turn ALOT of heads!

My only thing, and it's a personaly preference, is that there such a thing as over molding. If every piece is blended into every other I THINK the car begins too look like a blob as the lines disappear. In the Max/Jap Tuner/Show Car world this is very prevelent. Thoughts...?

my wheels are 19"s on the rear and 18"s on the front, and are masitaly wheels from dvr, and are the only ones in the world on a esprit (so far)
