Since the question was asked in the steering wheel thread of this forum:

My new (well, not quite new, bought it used, I'm the 2nd owner) Lotus is a model year 2000 Esprit V8, silver outside, black leather inside, and the Sport350 wheels (YES!)w/ Yokohama tyres. Bought it at Autostrada in Austin, great dealership. AND here comes the best part: when I finalized the deal, I got to meet David Simkin, he even checked out my car, everything is cool (give or take a gearshaft leak, which will be fixed)and had a really great conversation with him. Oh, and on the steering wheel: I'll be going with the Raid Daytona one.

Well, congrats B and welcome to V8 ownership. Hope you get many miles and smiles from the new toy. Methinks a wise choice on the MY as 2000 are the better ones... and please do visit... something about the wheels, see if they migrate between loti.

The Chrono Mags are probably the best for the silver. Although, we have a guy locally here that has a hot silver '99 with the 3 piece OZ's and it looks pretty good as well!

Congrats on the purchase and happy lotusing...

Thanks guys for the good wishes, I'll be posting pix shortly....despite all my toys I don't count a digital camera amongst them (yet), so it'll take me a little, but they'll be up there soon.

Cheers,
Brigitte

Well, finally got around to having some pix done (what are friends for, after all!). Drove the car from Texas to Florida (non-stop other than to gas up), 1400 flawless miles, got the new steering wheel in (love it!), and a few other odds and ends will be done over the next couple of weeks. Love driving it....total fun!.pix are at http://community.webshots.com/album/219881119cOaMKP
